[FLNK MAGAZINE] TRI.BE BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW

TRI.BE kicked off the FLNK original live content 'FLNK LIVE', and here is their backstage interview for you.

The studio where it was held was filled with the vibrant energy of TRI.BE, who embraced the affection of their fans.

We are excited for the future of these ambitious and incredible girls just like their wonderful signature greeting ‘VIDA LOCA’ which means ‘crazy happy life’ in Spanish.

Please tell us what meeting your fans with this new content in the “studio live talk show” format was like.

SongSun  It was great to talk to our fans as close friends, share small things with them, and play our songs for them. We were nervous because it was our first time trying on this format, but we could do it as comfortably as we were doing it in our room.

Kelly  It was new and fun to be live for the first time and interact with the TRUE in front of us simultaneously! We had a great time, and I hope we can do something similar to this again!

HyunBin  Whenever we host a talk show, we often do it without our fans, but this time, we got to talk about various things in front of TRUE and interact with them in real-time, so it was refreshing.

Jia  I'm so grateful that TRI.BE was honoured to host the first FLNK LIVE meeting, and even after our activities were over, I'm glad that we could meet TRUE, and I left with many great memories!

SoEun  It was much more fun than I thought it would be, and the fact that we could play with them offline and online simultaneously made it even more memorable! It felt like it was too short because it was so much fun, but if we had the chance to do it again, we would do it again with the members and TRUE!

MiRe  We had an enjoyable time playing games and talking with our TRUEs, and it was great that we could livestream it so that the fans who couldn't come in person could enjoy it too!

Do you have any memorable reactions from the fans you met at FLNK LIVE?

SongSun  We had many comments from fans who participated online and much fun with fans who were there! The most memorable one was when we played a game where we were blindfolded and had to guess what the items were, and the losing team was wearing strawberry farm-themed items. We shared things with fans during the game, which was hilarious.

Kelly  It was so much fun chatting and fooling around with TRUE! We even dressed up as the losing team members in the game as they would have worn on the strawberry farm... I tried on those red granny glasses once… The fans laughed a lot, so I loved it!

HyunBin  Among the games, we had a blindfolded object matching game, and the TRUEs knew that I was often easily terrified, so they made the atmosphere even scarier, mainly because they reacted so well on the field, so it was more fun because I was scared too!

Jia  I liked that when our team lost the tactile game, and we wore cool and hippy sunglasses, the fans in front of us kept laughing and looked so happy. The most memorable part was when we all ended up laughing together.

SoEun  The fans wrote many comments, and it was more special because we had time to introduce funny props and talk about behind-the-scenes stuff as if we were in a showcase. I hope it was remarkable for the TRUE, too.

MiRe  My favourite memory was when the team that lost the game got to wear strawberry farm clothes, and the fans giggled a lot when they saw how they looked!

Since wrapping up the mini 2nd album W.A.Y, you've been showing much activity on TikTok and in your content, but is there anything else you'd like to try in the future?

SongSun  I'd like to do a mini-concert in the future. TRI.BE's music covers many genres, from powerful performances to sweet ballads, so TRUE would love it more if we could showcase them all at once, and it would be a great stress reliever!

Kelly  I've recently shared some of my songs with the fans through Kelly's Bedroom, and I'd love to show them more of my albums full of my songs in the future!

HyunBin  I would love to do a fan meeting and concert, but I would also like to do a reality programme where we can show our authentic selves with no pretense. We can deliver much teamwork and fun scenes in a 24-hour full-time reality show.

Jia  I realised I could make many memories with TRUE if we did a fan meeting while live-streaming! That made me want to do a fan meeting even more.

SoEun  I want to do a concert! We're going on a tour in the US right this year. And not just in the US. I’d love to visit wherever our TRUEs are. I miss you folks so much😭. I love you always🥸🙃💜💖.

MiRe  I'd love to make a vlog of us travelling with our self-cameras! Until now, when we've done vlogs, it's been with other staff members, but if we get the chance, we'd love to do a vlog of just us travelling alone.

You are about to go on your first US tour since your debut. How are you feeling, and what are you looking forward to from this tour?

SongSun  This is one of the bucket lists we've been dreaming about since our debut, and we're so honoured and happy to go on an overseas tour finally. As we compiled the song list, it became apparent that we possess a plethora of distinct melodies, each with unique appeal, and it will be a meaningful time if our TRUEs overseas also feel this way during the US tour. I'm really excited about capturing lots of videos and photos of the streets in the US! I've only ever seen them in movies and can't wait to experience them in person. Plus, I'm inquisitive to check out some American supermarkets too!

Kelly  It's our first tour, so we're both excited and nervous. I hope the American TRUE enjoys it as much as we do since we're working hard to ensure we look great!

HyunBin  It's a great honour to perform in the US, which has always been one of our dreams. I aim to deliver our passionate energy to TRUE in the US and spread the charms of TRI.BE. I was delighted and a little teary-eyed when I realised we had grown so much that we could go on a tour.

Jia  Since TRI.BE debuted during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it took much work even to meet Korean fans, so we hardly had a chance to meet overseas TRUEs. We are so happy to have this opportunity to do our first tour in the U.S. since our debut! We are so thrilled to be able to meet overseas fans. I cannot wait to make the most fantastic stage with them in the US.

SoEun  That's right! I've always been disappointed that I couldn't meet our overseas TRUEs, but now that we’re going on tour in the U.S., we’re one step closer to them. It's my first time going to the US, and it's so special for me to be with my team members and TRUE, and I'm looking forward to it!

MiRe  I'm a little worried about my health and the language because I'll be in the US for about a month, but I'm already excited to see the American TRUEs. I want to eat American food, go shopping, and see the sights... There are so many kinds of stuff I’d love to do, so I'm still making lists! I can't wait to go and perform!

It's already time to wrap up the first half of 2023. How has the first half of the year been for TRI.BE, who have been working hard and non-stop this year, and what are your goals for the rest of the year?

SongSun  This year will seem to fly by when we go on an overseas tour. I aim to make a song about my emotions while on tour and present it to our TRUEs as my special gift for them. I want to prepare for our comeback as soon as possible after the tour so that we can show a completely different stage of TRI.BE.

Kelly  Personally, the most memorable thing that happened in the first half of the year was being nominated for the number one spot. In the second half of the year, I want to get the number one spot and meet many fans, including overseas TRUEs! I also want to make more diverse music.

HyunBin  The beginning of 2023 was just yesterday, but half a year has passed, so we’ve been working hard. First of all, there were many changes in our thoughts while preparing for the latest album, and we talked a lot with each other, so I'm very grateful for all the hard work from my members. I can see that the members have grown more, so I'm very confident and proud of them, and I want to go to more countries and perform this year, and I hope to release our subsequent albums as fast as possible.

Jia  We had a comeback in the first half of the year, and many things happened, and the members have been working hard. It was hard, but we’ve always been encouraged by how hard we work with each other. I want to be a part of TRI.BE for a long time to come and be the best KPOP group, and I hope to be with them even after that moment.

SoEun  My personal goal is to meet TRUEs from various countries! I've always been so disappointed that I can't meet our fans overseas, so I want to send my love to all the TRUEs overseas. Also, the members have been working hard to prepare for the tour, and I love them always😍💜. My role models will always be my members~!🌈

MiRe  We've had many opportunities to see our fans in person this year, so it's been great! We went to KCON in Japan in May, and now we have a US tour and a concert in Brazil, so that this year will be fruitful. My goals are to get a number one nomination again for our next comeback and be on many bigger stages as many as we can! I hope many people realise that TRI.BE is so precious and fascinating, and hopefully, many people will listen to our songs!

Lastly, do you have any last words for TRUE and FLNK MAGAZINE subscribers?

SongSun  Hi, this is SongSun from TRI.BE! I was so happy to meet our TRUE and FLNK MAGAZINE subscribers today. TRI.BE's FLNK LIVE was like a mini talk show with bouncing and romping TRI.BE, and I would love to do it again! It was a time to get to know each other better and make memories while talking small talk. In the future, TRI.BE will be your healing partner in a more fun way, so please give us much love❤️.
