[FLNK MAGAZINE] NMB48 Yamamoto Mikana(山本望叶) Interview
「and MIKANA vol.02」, the NMB48 style icon Yamamoto Mikana(山本望叶)'s second style book, has finally been released. FLNK MAGAZINE asked her about her work on the new style book and how she managed to perfectly execute various concepts, including one in Korea.
Q. Congratulations on the release of the style book 「and MIKANA vol.02」! How do you feel?
I'm so happy to be able to release vol.02. Thanks to all of you who liked vol.01, this style book has been upgraded even more.
Q. Is there any part of 「and MIKANA vol.02」 that reflects your opinion?
Yes, the Heisei Girl section! I mentioned to the team during the planning meeting that I like the Heisei Girl style, so they prepared it for me.
Q. What are some tips for taking good fashion photos in a style book?
Approach the photo shoot as if you are filming a movie and enjoy the process naturally!
Q. You filmed the new style book in Korea. Where was your favorite place?
Dongdaemun! We filmed near the DDP(Dongdaemun Design Plaza) and had lunch at a restaurant inside the DDP. The building was splendid and the streets were so clean that I found myself looking around like a tourist. (laughs)
Q. What was the most memorable thing during the shooting in Korea?
I was surprised that all the Korean staff and people walking down the street were drinking iced coffee, even though it was quite cold.
Q. What was the most impressive Korean drama or movie?
I enjoyed watching the movie Parasite and the drama The Glory. The story was quite shocking, but I found them captivating and would like to watch them again and again.
Q. What do you usually do to recharge your energy?
I'm happy when I watch variety shows, or spend time chatting and playing with my sister because we’re very close.
Q. Do you spend time with NMB48 members during your free time, like shopping or dining out?
I often eat delicious food with the members, but I usually shop alone.
Q. You've worked for 6 years since 2018. What's changed in that time?
I believe I’ve been able to continue thanks to the support of so many people. That's why my gratitude towards the people around me and the environment I’ve been given has been growing day by day.
Q. Your catchphrase is 'I will make your dreams come true'. What is your dream for this year?
I want to take on various challenges in different areas such as acting, modeling, and television work.
Q. FLNK is a combination of FAN and LINK, and it is a platform that connects fans and artists. How do you want to connect with your fans in the future?
I highly value the live events and mobile mail at the fan club. I hope to continue engaging with my fans through these forms of communication in the future.
