Let’s talk about fairer, cleaner ticketing for a better fan experience

Have you ever felt that rush of excitement when your favorite artist announces a concert, only to be met with disappointment the moment ticket sales open?
Many fans know the frustration of watching seats disappear in an instant to macros and resellers, only to reappear at outrageous markups. At b.stage, we understand all too well how unfair it feels to lose the chance to buy a ticket legitimately.

To address these long-standing issues, South Korea will begin fully enforcing the so-called “anti-ticket scalping package” this coming August. Under the new rules, anyone caught reselling tickets illegally—whether or not macros were used—could face penalties of up to 50 times their profits, along with confiscation of any illicit earnings.

But passing a law does not automatically solve everything. Much will depend on how the enforcement rules are written. Done well, they could significantly curb ticket scalping. Done poorly, they could end up making things harder for genuine fans who need to transfer or resell tickets for legitimate reasons.

That is why b.stage, in collaboration with the global business magazine Fortune Korea, wants to hear directly from you. Rather than relying only on discussions among experts, we want to reflect the real voices of fans—the people who battle through ticket sales and stay up late hoping to secure canceled tickets.

We want to hear about the challenges you have faced in the ticketing process, as well as your honest thoughts on what truly needs to change. Your responses may be featured in Fortune Korea’s May issue, and every voice shared will help shape a fairer, healthier concert culture in Korea.

Your perspective could make all the difference.
